dbda wins 'Best Service' at GO Awards Scotland
dbda, Ten Alps' award-winning CSR and education specialist, has won the Government Opportunities (GO) Best Service category at the magazine's Scottish Excellence Public Procurement Awards in Glasgow. The award recognised the outstanding contribution made to public service delivery in Scotland for dbda's partnership with Road Safety Scotland in providing the Children's Traffic Club.
The GO Awards aim to recognise excellence within procurement in Scotland, and the benefits to the wider business and social community that smart, effective and sustainable purchasing can deliver. The Children's Traffic Club service was considered to make a difference educationally, showing innovation whilst delivering best value, an impact upon everyone who has used the Club materials.
dbda held off strong competition from suppliers to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, National Library of Scotland and Dumfries and Galloway Council.
GO Managing Editor Grahame Steed said, when presenting the award, "dbda understands the end users of its service and, with the experience gained from many years in this sector, has delivered compelling and imaginative ways to capture and retain their attention."
The 2009 GO Awards Scotland were presented at a ceremony held during the Procurex Scotland Exhibition at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on 28 October 2009.
