Nationwide's education programme given the thumbs up by England captain

John Terry, the England and Chelsea FC captain, took time out of his busy training schedule to pay a visit to delighted school children at the Wallace Fields Junior School in Epsom, Surrey, to promote Nationwide Education, the innovative and free online education website created for Nationwide Building Society by dbda.

Terry, who recently led England to qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, experienced first-hand how Nationwide Education uses engaging interactive story books and games, including the latest pfeg-accredited 'Money Matrix' quiz for ages 12 to 16, to get across serious messages in a fun and stimulating way.

Nationwide Education covers a range of different areas including finance, sustainable living and road safety for ages 4 to 16. All resources are fully linked to the UK curricula and include extensive support materials for teachers and discussion points for parents to help support learning at home.

John Terry, England captain, said "Nationwide Education is a fun and innovative way to educate children and help them build the life skills they need for the future. It's great to see the children of Wallace Fields Junior School having fun while they learn."

An exciting new programme for ages 16+ will be launched this Autumn.
