In a Flash, a hard-hitting, online
& DVD resource!

London Safety Camera Partnership (LSCP) launches a brand new, hard-hitting online and DVD resource for young people, created and developed by dbda.

This unique, multimedia resource developed on behalf of LSCP aims to address key issues faced by young people in their pre driving and early driving years. It is based around an emotive storyline where the lives of five young people are changed forever, in one night.

This resource is broken into four modules: New Beginnings, Being Heard, Moving On and All Revealed; with nine short drama episodes and five character interviews. Each module is also supported by a wealth of practical guidance and information for both professionals and young people either in education or employment.

On 8th March, the first of the nine online episodes was released and this will continue daily for two weeks as the story unfolds.

The resource will be available on DVD to college and sixth form students at the end of March.

Sarah Elliott, Senior Communications Officer, LSCP, said, "'In a Flash' will be an invaluable tool in the education of young people in the pre and early driving years. At this stage of their lives young people are experiencing a new-found freedom, the temptation to take risks and new responsibilities on the road.

LSCP is grateful to dbda for the research and development of this resource. By working together we hope to reduce the number of young people killed or seriously injured on London's roads."

Emma Gill, Account Manager at dbda said, "Young people are seen as vulnerable road users. We believe this resource has the potential to attract and engage this audience to help encourage them make the right choices and decisions as young drivers, especially where speed is concerned.

"This resource exploits the youth-centred multimedia outlets of today, bringing together life-changing messaging into the reality of their everyday lives".
