London Road Safety Unit website is launched!

dbda has designed and developed a brand new website on behalf of client 'Transport for London', for their London Road Safety Unit (LRSU).

Chris Lines, Head of London Road Safety Unit, said "LRSU is dedicated to reducing collisions on London's roads through effective road safety engineering, research, education, campaigns and enforcement. The number of people killed or seriously injured on London's roads fell by seven per cent in 2008. The new website will play a vital role in LRSU's communication with stakeholders and the further reduction of casualty numbers in London. We are delighted with dbda's work on this project".

The website will intend to help and support the ongoing success of LRSU, and primarily inform their stakeholders and other road safety professionals about who they are, their people and how they operate.

This website will provide users with information on all Transport for London's road safety activities, from data research, news and events and training right through to all their successful educational programmes and media campaigns.

The website will play a major role in the Mayor of London's long term casualty reduction strategy on London's street network.

Overall, the site aims to create and change attitudes and behaviours amongst road users in London through education, training, publicity and enforcement information.
