Nationwide Education nominated for two prestigious Education Resource Awards

Nationwide Education, the free interactive website developed by dbda for Nationwide Building Society, has been nominated for two Education Resource Awards (ERA)- for Innovation and the best Primary Resource Using ICT.

The ERAs, organised by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and Affinity Media, recognise excellence and innovation in education. The Awards highlight the quality and diversity of educational products and resources that make a real difference to learning and the day-to-day work of teachers in the classroom.

Nationwide Education is part of Nationwide's commitment to supporting the community and provides topical educational resources that help teachers build important life skills in children and young people. The programmes, for ages four to 18, are linked to the National Curricula and are designed to stimulate learning and develop knowledge and confidence in the areas of financial capability, sustainable living and safety. They are designed for use on interactive whiteboards and PCs in school or at home, by teachers, pupils and parents.

Dawn Boyfield MBE, Managing Director of dbda said, "We're thrilled that Nationwide Education has been nominated for these prestigious awards that recognise the UK's most outstanding educational resources. We are committed to developing innovative programmes that add value for teachers and use the latest technology to engage young people."

The 2010 ERAs are judged by an independent panel of education experts and the winners will be announced in March.
