Innovative Home Guide suite launched on Nationwide Education

Nationwide and dbda are proud to launch a series of practical ‘how-to’ guides for those looking to buy, sell or remortgage their home.

Building on the success of the First Time Buyers’ Guide, the new Guides take readers ‘step-by-step’ through a range of information designed to support them with their decision making.

The Home Guides, designed by dbda, are free to access on the Nationwide Education website and include:

  • Home Buying: guidance on all stages of the home buying process, from what to consider and low cost ownership options, through to finding a property and exchanging contracts.
  • Selling: covers legal and financial aspects of selling a home, from valuations and selling privately or through an estate agents right through to a moving day action plan.
  • Remortgaging: helping you through the decision making and remortgage process, with guidance on how much to borrow, the costs involved and choosing the right deal.

‘We recognise that buying, selling and remortgaging a home is a big commitment and can be a daunting experience for most people,’ said James Graham, Corporate Responsibility Manager at Nationwide. ‘We created the Home Guides to provide impartial and helpful guidance to anyone looking to take these steps and wanted to provide it in a user-friendly and accessible way.’

Each Home Guide includes top tips, frequently asked questions, useful contacts, a word glossary that explains the jargon and a mortgage calculator. The guides can be read onscreen, downloaded for future reference or listened to via the ‘read aloud’ option and are independent of Nationwide products or services.

Take a look at what the Home Guide suite has to offer and see if there’s something for you.
