With only one month to Child Safety Week, we can help!
Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s annual flagship community education campaign, held between 20th-26th June 11.
This year’s campaign ‘Take a Second Look for Safety’ aims to raise awareness of the number of accidents that seriously injure or kill children every year and the steps we can take to help prevent them.
Accidents, which can be mostly prevented, remain one of the biggest killers of children in the UK, with 6 dying and 2,000 admitted to hospital with injuries every week (second only to cancer). Serious accidents not only cause physical injury that can take months or even years to heal but also cause psychological impact on the child, their family and friends which can last a lifetime.
If you are running any campaigns or initiatives during Child Safety Week, dbda and RoSPA products can help. We provide a range of safety education resources that help anyone working with children and families get vital messages out to create safer environments in the home, near water or on the road. Our products are designed to make vital learning fun and memorable.
